Mike Browne

 

Michael is from Manchester in the UK, but worked for many years in London before he immigrated to Australia in 2008 with his Italian wife and two small children.  He holds an Honours Degree in Economics, a Juris Doctor postgraduate law degree and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Michael was called to the Bar in 2010, and is:

  • admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia;
  • admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Federal Court of Australia;
  • admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia; and 
  • a Member of the Law Society of Western Australia.

    • His background is in the IT industry in London, where he worked with corporate, retail and large internet companies for more years than he will admit. He is also experienced in web design and computer programming.

    Michael has also been involved with scholastic journals, sitting on the Editorial Board of the International Trade and Business Law Review and the Journal of Human Security.

    In the past, Michael worked for the Rottnest Island Authority, sitting on the Legislative Review Committee, and co-ordinating the introduction of legislation on behalf of the Rottnest Island Authority.

    Michael spends his spare time mountain biking, Italian cooking and being beaten by his children at video games.
